Graduate Trainee Programme – Investments (GTP-I)
Be part of Khazanah’s core business and join the Investments division, where you will undergo a rigorous 12-month programme to prepare you for a career as an Investments analyst. We are looking for driven and intellectually curious individuals who are team players and interested in developing financial, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. You will gain exposure to developing and executing investment strategies across different asset classes and sectors and value creation initiatives for our portfolio companies.
Graduate Trainee Programme – Khazanah (GTP-K)
GTP-K is a 12-month programme tailored to develop talents in a chosen area of specialisation such as:
- Corporate Support Services - Support Operations;
- Governance, Risks & Compliance;
- Legal;
- Research;
- Societal Value Monitoring & Alignment Unit;
- Strategic Human Capital Management; and
- Strategy.
The programme accepts fresh graduates from any discipline with a passion for problem-solving, proficiency in handling numbers and a desire to work with multiple stakeholders.
Graduate Trainee Programme (GTP) Selection Process Timeline
The deadline for the GTP application is divided into 3 categories:
1. US graduates:
Application deadline is 31 December 2024.
2. UK graduates:
Application deadline is 14 February 2025.
3. Local and other countries graduates:
Application deadline is 14 March 2025.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified 3 weeks after the respective deadlines.
Job Description
Graduate Trainee Programme – Investments (GTP-I)
You will be assigned to Sector team in two (2) sets of six (6) month placements and report directly to your assigned supervisors. Your main duties, in support of your supervisors, shall be to support the team in investment, divestment and value creation activities, including the following:
- Perform financial analysis on identified companies, investment funds and/or co-investment partners, including preparation of performance reports, financial models, projections, valuation and returns analysis in support of investment and value creation activities;
- Conduct research on identified companies, industries, sub-sectors, geographies and macroeconomic trends in support of investment and value creation activities;
- Support the team on the preparation of presentation materials, reports, memos, briefing materials and investment papers in support of investment and value creation activities;
- Collaborate and engage with team members and colleagues within and outside of the Investments Division and build effective work relationships in support of investment and value creation activities;
- Actively participate and contribute to discussions, presentations, meetings within the assigned team as well as across the Division and organisation;
- Effectively represent the organisation in any relevant discussions, meetings and presentations with external stakeholders;
- Attend the GTP-I classroom training modules and apply the learnings to on-the-job work assignments; and
- Support your supervisor and team on any other assignments in support of administration and management of the team as well as investment and value creation activities.
Graduate Trainee Programme – Khazanah (GTP-K)
You will be assigned to functions and projects within the unit and report directly to the relevant team member(s) who will be assigned as your Line Manager. Your duties, in support of your Line Manager, shall be, inter alia, as follows:
- You will undertake an individual project to be completed at the end of 12 months. This is to provide you with the exposure to project management skills and stakeholder engagement;
- You will assist and support, as required, the identified division’s initiatives, to provide you with the exposure and experience in teamwork and managing stakeholders; and
- You will be assigned to tasks and activities where you will assist and support, as required, the overall day to day business operations, to provide you with the exposure to operational experience.

Education/Certifications
